Ko Sang-Don (고상돈; b. December 1948 - d. May 1979) - the first Korean to climb the world's tallest Mount Everest, which he accomplished in 1977. In May 1979, however, while attempting to climb Mount McKinley (the tallest mountain in North America), he met his unfortunate death.
