Jeong Eun-Kyeong (정은경; b. July 1965) - as a medical doctor with extensive experience in preventive medicine, infectious diseases, and public health, Dr. Jeong has served as the Commissioner of KDCA (Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency), overseeing the SARS-CoV-2/Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic management in South Korea. Essentially serving as South Korea's COVID Czar, Korea's management of the pandemic has been lauded as one of the most effective in the world, with less than 50,000 positive cases and 700 deaths as of mid-December 2020. Among many other accolades, Dr. Jeong has also been named as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020.
