Chung Kyung-Wha (정경화; b. March 1948) - a pioneering Korean violinist, who, in 1967, was a co-winner at the then-prestigious Edgar Leventritt Competition. Among her numerous well-known performances, she substituted for Itzhak Perlman for a performance with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1970. Since 2007, she has been a faculty member at The Julliard School, her alma mater, and she still has an active recording career and performs worldwide.
She is also the 2011 HO-AM Prize winner in The Arts.
