​Andy Kim (b. circa 1982) - a Rhodes Scholar, earning his doctorate in international relations at Oxford University, Mr. Kim served as a counter-terrorism expert and a national security advisor within the Obama Administration. Specifically, Mr. Kim was an Iraq expert at the State Department and the Pentagon, advised two commanders of the U.S. forces in Afghanistan (under General David H. Petraeus and General John Allen), and further served as President Obama's designated expert on the Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS).


In 2018, Mr. Kim, as a Democratic Party candidate, won his election for the 3rd U.S. Congressional District in his home state of New Jersey, making him the second Korean-American U.S. Congressman in American history (following Jay Kim of California; 1993-1999).
